Having lived over 20 years in Cabo San Lucas and now the past few years in San José del Cabo, I’ve experienced both sides—and they are completely different, yet equally incredible.
Cabo San Lucas is vibrant, energetic, and full of life. It’s where you go when you want action—restaurants, nightlife, the marina, and that exciting, fast-paced energy that so many people fall in love with. San José del Cabo, on the other hand, offers a slower, more intentional lifestyle. It’s peaceful, charming, and full of character. My days here often start early—walking my dogs on the beach, watching the sunrise, and taking in those quiet moments that are hard to find anywhere else.
I currently live in the corridor between both towns, right by the ocean, and to me, it’s the best of both worlds. You’re close enough to enjoy everything Cabo San Lucas has to offer, while still coming home to the calm and beauty of San José.
I’ve also lived inside a golf community in Puerto Los Cabos, and that experience was something truly special. Waking up surrounded by nature, security, and beautifully designed spaces gives you a completely different appreciation for what living here can be.
