Just 15 minutes south of vibrant Todos Santos, between the Sierra de la Laguna mountains and the Pacific, lies a peaceful coastal village that’s quietly become one of my favorite corners of Baja— El Pescadero.
I live in Todos Santos and cover the Pacific region—including Cerritos, Pescadero, and Todos—for real estate. But I have to say, Todos and Pescy (as we lovingly call it) are my two favorite places to help people find their dream property.
The first time I visited the area 17 years ago, I thought to myself, “This is where I want to retire someday.” Two years ago, I made that vision real by planting roots here. And now? I get to help others do the same.
Whether you’re dreaming of a slower pace, surf mornings, farm-fresh food, or building a future surrounded by peace and purpose—keep reading. El Pescadero may just be your perfect match.
1. From Soil to Soul: The Farm-to-Table Life is Real Here
Pescadero is where things grow—literally. The town is rooted in agriculture, and that spirit has evolved into a thriving, delicious farm-to-table culture.
Stop by Agricole Cooperativa and grab strawberries and cream that are truly to die for (I mean it), or wander through Grow Pescadero’s farm stand for seasonal veggies and homemade treats. For lunch, sit in the garden at Hierbabuena and order the grilled catch of the day with mint from their own herb patch.
This is more than a foodie paradise—it’s a lifestyle. One where you eat close to the land, support your neighbors, and live in tune with the seasons.
2. Surf in the Morning, Stargaze at Night
Pescadero is perfectly sandwiched between two iconic surf breaks: San Pedrito and Cerritos. You don’t need to be a pro to enjoy them—there’s a wave for everyone. And if you’re not into surfing? You’ll still love long walks along the shore, tidepool hopping, or grabbing a smoothie at Cerritos Beach Dogs Café, a nonprofit coffee shop supporting street dog rescue.
Bonus: your four-legged bestie will thank you for the endless beach runs. Trust me, mine live for it.
3. The Art of Slow Living is Alive and Well
Here, life isn’t packed into 15-minute calendar slots. It’s early morning walks on country roads. It’s catching up with neighbors at the farmers market. It’s spontaneous sunset dinners with friends and their dogs under a canopy of bougainvillea.
I always say Pescadero is a place where dogs nap in the shade, people wave when they drive by, and “busy” means you had to run errands and go for a surf.
4. Your Dream Property Might Already Be Waiting
If all of this sounds irresistible, a Baja Bliss homesite may be right up your alley.
I’m excited to share that Baja Bliss Lots 1, 2 and 3—three gorgeous, contiguous parcels—are now available just off the well-loved Baja Beans road.
These lots check all the boxes:
- Flat, build-ready land (no major leveling required)
- Expansive ocean views from a second or third floor
- Space for a main home, guest casita, pool, gardens, or all of the above
- Walkable to Baja Beans, Zócalo boutique (where I work on Fridays!), and farm-to-table dining
- Easy access to Highway 19 and less than an hour to Cabo, La Paz, and the airport
There’s even an artist-designed home concept available to help you visualize the dream. And the seller, who built the beautiful Casa Margaux in San José del Cabo, is open to offering guidance.
5. Where Dogs, Dirt Roads, and Dreams Collide
One of the things I love most? My dogs have space to run, nap, and be free. Whether it’s a beach sprint, a country walk, or a cozy nap in the Baja sun, this is their paradise too.
Owning a piece of land here isn’t just about a smart purchase—it’s about building a home that feels like home. One where you’re surrounded by nature, community, and the kind of peace that’s hard to describe but easy to feel.
Final Thought: This Isn’t Just Land. It’s a Way of Life.
The Baja Bliss Lots (Baja Bliss Lot 1, Baja Bliss Lot 2, Baja Bliss Lot 3) offer the rare opportunity to create a space that reflects who you are and how you want to live. Whether that’s growing your own food, hosting retreats, or just waking up every day to the sound of waves and birdsong—Pescadero makes it possible.
Come see for yourself. Grab a coffee at Baja Beans, say hi at Zócalo, or join me and my pack for a beach walk. I’d love to help you fall in love with this place the way I did.
Welcome to Baja Bliss. Welcome home.
